so
ich hab linux nochmal neu installiert damit X wieder funzt
ich habe jetzt alles nach der Anleitung auf
www.tapler.info/Speedtouch-HOWTO-de.html gemacht

Es klappt alles super (Firmware zum Modem laden etc.)
es wird in der /var/log/messages auch angezeigt, dass das Modem initialisiert is mit 544 kbps down und 64 kbps up

nur ich kann weder PING machen noch kann ich ne website betrachten

Nach deiner Addresse nach versuchst du dich im österreichischen ADSL-Netz einzuwählen. Die Telekom verwendet aber PPTP (Point-to-point tunneling) Protokoll und nicht PPP over ATM.
Laut deinem Logauszug lädst du aber genau PPPOA - dies funktioniert nur in Deutschland.

Es gibt für Österreich eine eigenes HowTo von Heimo Schön

ähm
PPP over ATM ist EXTRA für Österreich, (also auch PPPOA), PPPoE is für Deutschland.

achja:
ich habe mir das jetzt durchgelesen
dieses howto scheint mir eigentlich eher nur für das Speed Touch Home (also über netzwerkkarte) zu sein, und nicht für Speed Touch USB

Was mir in deinem Log-Auszug auffällt ist, dass du ein Problem bei der Chap-Authentifizierung hast.
Frage: Hast du deinen Account(User+Password) in /etc/ppp/chap-secrets eingetragen?

das is mir frueher auch aufgefallen, hab ich geändert
dann bekomm ich den fehler net mehr, aber connecten geht trotzdem net richtig
