Hab mein Alcatel Speedtouch Usb Modem nach langem googeln zum laufen gebracht !
Muss aber nach jedem Neustart auf der Root Konsole : „modprobe pppoatm“ eingeben !?
Kann man dass automatisieren ???
Hier die Anleitung:
Setting up Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL Modem under SuSE 9.1
It's very simply, just follow the instructions !!!!!!
Install this packages via Yast: smpppd , linux-atm , gcc , make
First, you need the management software of Alcatel :
speedmgmt.tar.gz
Make shure you have the: speedmgmt.tar.gz
That can be found at http://www.alcateldsl.com/
or in: http://www.google.com
To install , unpack the management software with the command:
tar -xvzf speedmgmt.tar.gz
Change to the new directory mgmt by entering: cd mgmt
Enter the following commands : make
Change to root: su
Enter your password: your personal password
Enter the following commands : make install
Start YaST2 and open the module Network/Basic ->
DSL Configuration
And switch the PPP mode to : PPP over ATM
Enter : user name , password , VPI/VCI numbers
(8.48 for Austria)
Ask your Internet provider for your VPI/VCI number
Set idle time always on 0 Enabled : Firewall
Start: Yast - System - Runlevel editor (expertmodus)
Set smpppd in runlevel 3 & 5 on active ( enabled )
Open terminal as root and execute # modprobe pppoatm
